The Boeing CompanyBoeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for Materials Management and Transportation Manager (Level K) (2nd Shift) to join our Supply Chain (SC) Fulfillment team in Portland, Oregon. The select candidate must be able to work 2nd shift. The hours are Monday – Friday: 2:30 pm till 11 pm (hours could vary slightly based on business needs).
The Boeing Company in Portland OR is seeking a skilled professional to lead our 2nd shift supply chain fulfillment operations team. You will be responsible for leading a team of hourly represented employees tasked with a wide range of supply chain functions key to the day to day operation of our complex manufacturing operations. These functions include but are not limited to - shipping, receiving, material handling, forklift operations, warehousing, parts expediting, 3PL oversight, provisioning of parts, kitting and or integration of parts, tools and consumables to point of use locations.
Your demonstrated leadership skills and behaviors as well as ability to drive day to day execution of our production, quality and safety plans while ensuring proactive support of our final assembly customers will be a critical differentiation to be a successful candidate for this position.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manages and integrates employees’ activities across more than one area in materials management and transportation.
- Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
- Acquires resources for projects and processes and leads process improvements.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
- Manages, develops and motivates employees.
- Collaboration with day shift managers to ensure cross performances are achieved.
- Act as a quality and safety advocate for the team at the Portland, Oregon site.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
- 3+ years of experience in production systems and integration of supply chain
- 3+ years of experience leading teams (This includes managing team assignments, tracking status and developing a team's talent)
- 3+ years of experience leading or managing projects that involved cross-functional or cross-business unit teams
- 3+ years of experience working with Supply Chain and Manufacturing
- Domestic and international travel as needed
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):
- Bachelor's degree (or higher)
- 1+ years of experience in Inventory Management / Inventory Management Methodologies
- 1+ years of experience with Problem Solving Methodologies
- 3+ years of experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and/or the Production System
- 3+ years of experience as a proven leader with strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- 3+years of experience do you have in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or experience in a regulated industry
- 3+ years of experience with business knowledge, leadership and people skills to inspire a safe work environment

Summary pay range (Level K): $120,500 - $139,700
