Therapist – Zero to Three Initiative
Salary: $61,000 - $65,000
This position requires travel within the state of Indiana.

As a Therapist in our Zero to Three inititative you will:
- Conduct Developmental Assessments by evaluating the emotional, behavioral, cognitive, and social development of children from birth to three years old using standardized tools and observations.
- Design Individualized Therapy Plans by developing and implementing customized intervention plans that address developmental delays, behavioral challenges, or emotional difficulties in young children.
- Provide Therapeutic Interventions by using play therapy, behavioral therapy, attachment-based interventions, and other age-appropriate modalities to support healthy development in infants and toddlers.
- Collaborate with Parents and Caregivers by offering guidance and training to parents on how to support their child’s emotional and developmental needs at home, fostering a healthy parent-child relationship.
- Document and Track Progress by maintaining detailed records of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress updates, while adhering to confidentiality and legal requirements.
- Educate Families by providing information and support to families on child development, milestones, and strategies to promote emotional and social growth.
- Support Transitions by helping families navigate various transitions, such as moving into preschool or addressing significant changes in the family environment.
- Acts as a liaison between The Villages' families and referring agencies, the children’s families, schools, community resources and The Villages' administrative staff.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Master’s degree in Social work with an emphasis on clinical practice, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, OR related field
- One (1) year training and therapy/counseling experience with children, adults, and/or families
- Licensure through one of the following Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LSCW), LMFT, LMFTA, LMHC, or LMCHA
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of two years previous experience in either foster care or social services
- Infant Mental Health Specialist Endorsement (IMHS)
