SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for maintaining high production, quality, and yields while ensuring the safest working environment possible. You will play a crucial role in understanding and controlling the production process, keeping accurate records, and managing general line maintenance and staffing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Production Management: Check daily production orders to ensure customer orders are fulfilled and every position is filled before the start-up of the production line.
Team Oversight: Oversee Team Member morning exercises and job rotation to facilitate ergonomics.
Machinery Performance: Ensure all machinery is performing to the highest standard possible.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure all workstations have passed USDA Inspection, promote safety daily and through monthly safety meetings.
Inventory and Shipping: Ensure accurate shipments, rotation of inventory, and proper coding of products.
Team Building: Communicate company benefits and compensation policies to Team Members, provide encouragement to build the best team possible.
Human Relations: Perform human relations functions such as training, retaining, and counseling on personal and professional problems.
Problem Solving: Oversee various processing operations and work with other supervisors in solving problems.
Quality Assurance: Keep records of reworked or returned product and provide continuous education on the importance of quality.
Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as the need arises.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High school diploma; education beyond high school including special training, vocational school and/or college courses is preferred.
Experience: 1 plus years in a manufacturing environment and prior supervisory experience preferred. Poultry experience preferred. Experience with SAP preferred.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills helpful.
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills.
Supervisory: This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.
Travel: 1-5 trips per year.
Location: This is an onsite position at the Hope, AR facility.
