Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail oriented Refurbish and Teardown Lead to manage and oversee the refurbishment and teardown operations in our Duluth service center. This critical role ensures quality standards, inventory accuracy, and efficient processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve operational success. The Lead position is responsible for the leading of all aspects of robot and water treatment parts teardown and recovery process. This position is responsible, in conjunction with the Product Support Group and Israel that all material is standardized.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the daily receiving of warranty and credit related inbounds.
- Lead the return and refurbish teardown and recovery team, ensuring daily operations are completed efficiently and accurately.
- Assign daily tasks to team members, such as disassembling specific models of robotic cleaners, and track progress to ensure quotas are met.
- Ensure receiving and recovery teams are trained on receiving accuracy and efficiencies.
- Working in collaboration with Customer Care, will create, monitor and communicate all RMA trouble inbounds to completion to include final disposition status. Collaborate with the returns team to address customer questions regarding returns, refunds, and claims.
- Working in collaboration with Technician Lead, will work daily to understand what parts and robots are to be torn down vs. refurbished for on hand inventory.
- Inspect, test, and triage parts to ensure they meet quality standards for reuse or recycling.
- Maintain an organized inventory system, ensuring all parts are appropriately labeled and stored.
- Pack units for warehouse storage and move into warehouse locators accordingly.
- May assist with overseeing some warehousing tasks, including picking, packing, shipping orders, and performing inventory counts.
- Document all work performed, including parts recovered and processed, to maintain accurate records.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to optimize operations.
- Uphold safety standards and ensure a clean and organized workspace.
- Train all new and seasonal hires assisting with the receiving, refurbish teardown and recovery process.
- Uses ERP database (Priority), Scanners, Microsoft Excel, and email daily.
- Other duties as needed by management.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one year of experience in shipping, receiving, or refurbishment operations.
- Prior experience managing returns or refurbish teams is a plus.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Travel: Occasionally to support Maytronics Projects.
- Knowledge of MS office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SalesForce
