The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Product Development Center (PDC) located in Wauwatosa, WI is home to the mantra – You dream it. We build it. Join our team as a Technical Specialist.
Job Summary
The Technical Specialist demonstrates conceptual and practical knowledge in instrumentation, data acquisition and analysis of acquired data. They are responsible for assisting to deliver accurate test data from motorcycle systems and components, helps determine test data needs and helps define requisite tests to acquire necessary information and documenting results in reports. Works with engineers, technical specialists, mechanics and riders/operators in order to optimize test time.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform data acquisition in support of vibration quality (VQ), sound quality (SQ), and other core NVH tests.
- Conduct regulatory noise and noise source identification testing.
- Perform audio testing on speakers and amplifiers .
- Maintain, calibrate and apply instrumentation.
- Maintain laboratory equipment.
- Reduce test data into a format ready for a report (decision-ready).
- Support the development of lab test standard development & best practices.
- Advance the state of testing in collaboration with System Group.
- Strict adherence to the 5S concept and all other supporting CI (continuous improvement) methods.
- Collaborate with requestors to clearly define test requirements.
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Experience Requirements
- Requires 3 years of related experience

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
