Position Overview
The Activity Security Representative II (ASR II) provides multi-disciplined security support for customer facilities and organizations supporting Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) activities. This role is responsible for daily operational security functions and ensuring strict compliance with government security policies, procedures, and regulations.
The ideal candidate will possess strong SAP security experience, administrative precision, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced classified environment supporting national security missions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Performance shall include, but is not limited to:
- Conduct classification reviews of inbound and outbound correspondence
- Assist with maintenance of document accountability databases and associated correspondence
- Process inbound and outbound classified mail and maintain receipt records
- Perform destruction of classified materials in accordance with established procedures
- Process and maintain accountability for magnetic media
- Provide reproduction support for classified materials
- Maintain daily administrative logs associated with document control
- Assist with inbound and outbound data transfer file processing
- Transfer electronic data files to internal customers
- Maintain extensive customer point-of-contact databases
- Research, process, file, and maintain inbound and outbound visit notices
- Escort facility visitors and maintain associated visitor control logs
- Assist with preparation and issuance of facility access control badges
- Conduct entry and exit inspections
- Support maintenance of facility access control systems and visitor management procedures
- Perform data entry into the Personnel Access Security System database
- Maintain customer-sponsored billet and quota information
- Assist in maintaining personnel security files for supported personnel
- Enforce customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Support security awareness and education programs
- Perform administrative security support functions as directed by site leadership
- Review, track, and monitor security clearance processing activities
- Participate in Air Force SAP security compliance inspections
- Implement and maintain Top Secret Control procedures
- Prepare, process, and review classified mail, courier packages, receipts, and faxes
- Prepare and process Program Access Requests (PARs)
- Execute Special Access Program Nomination Process Questionnaires
- Conduct Defense Central Index of Investigations (DCII), Joint Personnel Access System (JPAS), and SAPNP reviews
- Perform data entry and record verification in the Air Force Access Data System (AFADS)
- Conduct security indoctrinations
Requirements
Required Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of related security experience
- Experience supporting Special Access Programs (SAP) is required
- Experience within classified environments supporting SCI and collateral activities preferred
Experience/Education Equivalencies
- Bachelor’s degree may count as four (4) years of experience
- Associate’s degree in a related field may count as two (2) years of experience
- Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) counts toward one (1) year of experience*
- Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) counts toward one (1) year of experience*
- Maximum equivalent experience for SPED certifications shall not exceed three (3) years*
*One year of experience may be credited for each separate SPED certification, not to exceed three years total.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirements

- Must complete DoD SAPCO-approved SAPNP traini
