GROPYUS is using scalable construction and manufacturing solutions to tap into a future market, boost Europe's strength in innovation, while also playing a substantial role in improving sustainability.</p></div><p><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>About the Role</strong></span></p> <p>You will be part of a highly collaborative product team working at the core of our manufacturing facility, transforming digital models into physical elements at scale.</p> <p>Product Teams at GROPYUS own what they build, including underlying infrastructure, build pipelines, automated testing, release and rollout management, monitoring, and support. You will bring your experience in working with PLCs and/or other OT systems like e.g. robots, into the team.</p> <p>As a Software Engineer (PLC / OT), you will work with your team on evolving the rather traditional architecture of MES like systems integrating via OPC-UA with PLCs into a future-proof architecture built with&nbsp;<strong>Software Defined Manufacturing</strong>&nbsp;in mind. &nbsp;You should be looking forward to developing less PLC / OT code over time and building a solution that allows for full&nbsp;<strong>simulation&nbsp;</strong>of upcoming manufacturing orders.</p> <p>Furthermore, our teams are also responsible for operating and troubleshooting the software they have developed during working hours of the factory.</p> <p><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>What you’ll be doing</strong></span></p> <p>As a Software Engineer (f/m/d) on the Product Delivery team, you will be responsible for:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Understanding and explaining</strong>&nbsp;the existing PLC / OT code base from our vendor to the rest of your team.</li> <li>Working together with your team and other teams in Product Delivery to&nbsp;<strong>evolve&nbsp;</strong>the current architecture into a truly&nbsp;<strong>Software Defined Manufacturing</strong>&nbsp;setup.</li> <li>Bringing an o<strong>perational mindset</strong>&nbsp;to monitor, maintain, and improve software uptime including reliable updates, latency, and efficiency</li> <li>Acting as a bridge between digital product delivery &amp; physical logistics and manufacturing syst
