Project Manager Digital Strategy and Innovation – Wholesale Banking – Fulltime

As a Project Manager in our Digital Strategy and Innovation team, you will play a pivotal role in investigation, proposing and implementing innovation solutions within Wholesale Banking.

The team
As part of WB Transformation Office, WB Digital Strategy & Innovation team ensures that Wholesale Banking remains at forefront of digital transformation, translating external trends into concrete opportunities. We focus on opportunities in Digital Assets (DLT), Generative AI and Open Finance. We are a small multidisciplinary team and you will be working on 1 or 2 focus areas, depending on roadmap, priorities and personal fit

Roles and responsibilities
As project manager you will take responsibilities for one project or part of a (bigger) project. On a day to day basis you will:

• Work in interdisciplinary project teams to explore, validate and develop innovative solutions in the areas of Digital Assets, Generative AI and Open Finance
• Design, together with expert from the business, new value proposition, processes or applications and propose concrete implementation plans
• Lead the planning and execution of a wide range of POC implementation activities (e.g. risk assessment, requirement gathering, solution design, 3rd party contracting and onboarding, feasibility assessment)
• Collaborate with business areas across the bank to build consensus around feasibility, desirability and strategic fit of use cases to propose to the Board
• Help defining WB ambition with regards to digital capabilities
• Continue learn what is happening in the market and propose relevant ideas to WB management

• Passionate about innovation, resilient and persistent to reach result in an uncertain environment with changing requirements.
• Proven experience as project manager, business manager or consultant in financial industry
• Good understanding of WB business and knowledge of ING processes, IT landscape and NFR beneficial
• Strong "business sense" combined with the ability to research new topics to develop insights and drive actionable results
• Expertise in Digital Assets, GenAI or Open Finance beneficial
• Hands on mentality and wiliness to learn are crucial to succeed in the job.
