Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Data Scientist to support the PE&O Program Execution team. This position is in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program. 

What You'll Get To Do

• Work with a team of talented professionals passionate about the work they do
• Engage with teams across the entire program to understand their analytics and data modeling requirements
• Help architect and build data pipelines connected to multiple program ASoTs
• Apply data engineering processes and procedures to manage infrastructure, storage, and transformation of data to enable scalable and performant analytics
• Develop and publish Tableau server dashboards and visualizations used to inform individuals and leaders across the program.
• Apply state of the art data science approaches to develop analytical solutions providing program insights
• Work within an agile framework focused on stakeholder outcomes
• Recommend process changes to business leaders to improve efficiency

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.  This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of relevant experience; Master’s Degree with 1 years’ experience or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 years.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company to meet its business need.
• Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries.
• Understanding of database design, normalization, and indexing.
• Ability to perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
• Proficiency in Python programming for data analysis and manipulation.
