The Content and Business Products team builds technology to scale Netflix's content operations from concept to streaming. We create systems and services that enable teams worldwide to plan, produce, distribute, and promote our titles. This role sits within the Content Foundations team, which creates both end-user applications and developer platforms that ensure reliable data and efficient workflows across our content lifecycle.
 

The Role

Netflix leverages a large internal and external workforce to produce and deliver content to members. Globally, many thousands of people get access to sensitive data and applications to do this work. As Product Manager, Content Security you will focus on product improvements that help to identify areas of security risk across our business product ecosystem and prevent unintended exposure of Netflix pre-release assets and data. 

This role partners directly with business stakeholders that oversee operational programs aimed at mitigating security risks, and will also work closely with other product teams that develop Netflix’s centralized identity and access management systems. 

This role can be based in our Los Angeles or Los Gatos offices. There is also the option to be based remotely from the West Coast/PST working hours. Some travel will be required if remote-based.

As a Product Manager at Netflix, you will:

  • Build strategic roadmaps and take product concepts from idea through validation, delivery, measurement, and iteration

  • Author strategy memos and presentations, representing your team's work across the organization and to senior leadership

  • Lead a team of stunning colleagues across design, engineering, program management, and data science to deliver outstanding products to our customers

  • Build business cases and measure the impact of your product innovation

  • Deeply understand and socialize the evolving needs of our customers

As the Product Manager, Content Security, you will:

  • Partner with stakeholders to develop policies for end user access to sensitive data and assets and ensure these are implemented holistically across our ecosystem of B2B products

  • Partner cross-functionally to define and develop secure, scalable approaches for the external workforce to download and deliver pre-release media assets

  • Lead the rollout of new features to improve end user account security (such as multi-factor authentication/MFA) while partnering with internal teams to manage operational change

  • Create and operationalize a suite of content security risk metrics to help monitor for risk and identify new opportunities for mitigation

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of Product Management experience with proven success building and scaling technical platforms

  • Ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams - your relationship-building skills are critical to success

  • Experience partnering with business stakeholders and leading through operational change to drive internal product adoption

  • Excellent communication skills - you'll need to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences

  • Experience using data to inform priorities and evaluate impact of initiatives

  • Direct experience building data security and/or access management products

  • Experience with entertainment/media industry content security is a plus

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $120,000 - $515,000.
