The E.W. Scripps is hiring a Director, Creative Project Management who will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of our creative projects. In this role, you will lead a team of project managers and is accountable for the overall project management function within an organization. This includes strategic direction for project management, establishing best practices, overseeing project planning, execution, and delivery for National, Local and the Scripps Enterprise. Expertise in creative project management to drive the company's creative vision forward and deliver exceptional creative content.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Project Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of project managers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and creativity.
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with creative leads and Marketing Brand Strategists to develop project timelines, and budgets that align with the company's creative objectives.
Resource Allocation: Effectively allocate and manage resources, including freelance personnel, budget, and travel, to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Workflow Optimization: Streamline project management processes and workflows to maximize efficiency and productivity across creative teams. Including ownership or software and efficiencies.
Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
Communication: Facilitate clear and open communication between creative teams, stakeholders, and project managers, ensuring everyone is aligned with project goals and expectations.
Vendor and Partner Management: Collaborate with external vendors, freelancers, and partners as needed, ensuring they meet our creative and production standards.
Budget Oversight: Manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and provide regular financial reporting to senior management.
Reporting: Provide regular reports to senior management on project progress, budget utilization, and performance metrics.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent years of experience preferred
Generally, 10+ years of experience in related field preferred
Prior managerial experience preferred
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
Strong leadership and team management skills
Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in project management software, tools, and methodology. Wrike experience a plus.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Experience working at a Television creative group or Creative agency (in project and/or account management) preferred
Familiarity with Television design and post production operations and process preferred
Experience working with multi-disciplined teams in a creative environment preferred
Experience working with and facilitating creative teams preferred
Experience working with ad sales preferred
