Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) - Correctional Primary Health Services (530066)

The Role

The Associate Nurse Unit Manager - Correctional Primary Health Services (ANUM - CPHS) is an experienced nurse who, within the defined area of practice:

• Works in partnership with the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) and/or Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) and other senior staff, to ensure the efficient and effective provision of care based on best practice
  principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework.
• Assists the ADON and/or CNC with the planning and management of staff and resources and provides operational leadership through the coordination of the day to day patient care activities, including patient flow.

Details of Appointment

Please note there are two positions available.

Multiple permanent, full time, shift-worker (fully rotational) positions working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

• Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary: $103,466 - $109,165 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: 

• Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type

• Correctional allowance of 6.5% 

• Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

1. Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

1. Holds or is working towards relevant post graduate qualifications

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

1. Conviction checks in the following areas:

1. crimes of violence
2. sex related offences
3. serious drug offences
4. crimes involving dishonesty

2. Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
