Principal Associate, Workforce Development - Learning & Development Lead

The Learning and Development (L&D) Lead is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating the learning & development experiences for a portfolio of Workforce Development programs. The L&D Lead will collaborate with program managers, internal stakeholders, and enterprise L&D teams to deliver impactful experiences that support our evolving programs and participant needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver L&D experiences, including instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced learning

• Assess the effectiveness of training programs using metrics, feedback, and program data

• Partner with program managers and key stakeholders to identify skill gaps and training priorities for program participants

• Communicate and present to senior leaders and stakeholders on a regular basis focused on progress reporting, results, needs and requests

• Bring exceptional facilitation and communication skills with an ability to engage groups, generate conversation, and present content in a compelling and impactful style

• Prepare, create, and maintain positive learning environments for groups of all levels and be able to tailor delivery to the audience  

• Serve as a subject matter expert on learning trends and best practices.

• Continuously improve learning initiatives based on evaluation results and evolving business needs

• Effective project/organization management, able to see strategic pictures and prioritize independently

• Strong customer focus, anticipating customer needs and partnering to make decisions that have a positive impact

• Autonomously solve problems through critical thinking and implementing through resolution

• Flex in to support the program management space as needed

 Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification 

• At least 2 years of experience in Training Design or at least 2 years of experience in Development Delivery or a combination

• At least 2 years of experience in client consulting

• At least 1 year of experience in Project or Program Management or a combination

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Training Design and Development Delivery

• 3+ years of experience in client consulting

• 2+ years of experience in project management

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $102,700 - $117,200 for Principal HR Associate
