Job Description:
The purpose of this role is to lead a defined set of interdependent projects to ensure successful delivery of the required outcomes.
Program Leadership and Vision. Defines, agrees and cascades program vision and translate into delivery objectives for the team. Leads the program to deliver the business case benefits, desired capabilities and outcomes. Promotes the wider good in all actions, acting in a morally, legally and socially appropriate manner in dealings with stakeholders and members of Program, project teams and organization
Program Team Management. Designs, develops and manages the program team as well as appointment of project managers and key resources required for program project teams. Identifies, addresses and resolves differences between individuals, interest groups and/or project teams. Clearly defines, agrees and delegates team, project and key stakeholder roles and responsibilities; develops capability and fosters innovation; empowers and inspires others to deliver successful projects and achieve ultimate desired program outcomes
Program Business Case and Benefits Realization. Where applicable, supports program sponsor(s) and pertinent key stakeholders to develop, gain approval and manage the program business case, benefits plan and budget; controlling and tracking forecast and actuals against them. Works with project managers, change managers and business benefit owners to identify, track and deliver (and/or project continuation validity) benefits set out in business case. Ensures realization of benefits for business through planning and designing project outputs meet program requirements and desired outcomes
Program Budget and Cost Management. Manages approved budgets for program and projects and controls forecast and actual costs against them
Program Governance, Reporting and Assurance. Designs, agrees and implements the program governance and proactively monitor and report on its overall progress through the governance framework. Maintains overall integrity and coherence of program and governance framework to support each project. Plans and engages program project assurance activities
Program Plans, Performance and Controls. Designs, consolidates, aligns and documents the fundamental components of programs (vision, scope, success criteria, outcomes, schedules, resource requirements, budgets, risks, opportunities and issues and quality requirements). Establishes, and implements where necessary, protocols to change the scope of programs and update of configuration documents as required. Sets both program and related project controls and be accountable for performance. Monitors and controls progress, engages fully with requisite assurance and respond to recommendations
Dependency Management. Maps program dependencies and identifies owners, builds dependency management into the program's governance cycle. Works with project managers and business leads to ensure dependencies are actively managed, acts as an arbiter and enforcer and resolve issues between the various elements of the program
Program Resource Management. Identifies and secures the provision of resources needed for overall program and related projects from internal and/or external providers, including agreement of contracts (within delegated financial authority limits) for the provision of goods and/or services, monitoring compliance and managing. Develops, implements and updates consolidated project resource allocations plans (other than finance) needed for program, aligned to taking account of availabilities and scheduling variances
Program Stakeholder and Communications Management. Identifies and manages pertinent program stakeholder relationships (taking account of their levels of influence and particular interests), communications and need for senior level support. Ensures continual alignment with program projects, wider portfolio management and organization communications. Manages internal and external relationships as appropriate. Proactively Identifies, addresses and seeks to resolve differences between individuals and/or interest groups
Program Risks and Issues Management. Identifies and monitors program risks (threats and opportunities) and issues. Develops mitigating actions and escalates as appropriate. Works with program projects to ensure consistency and rigor in the application of good practice risk management as well as identification and management of related interdependencies
The annual salary range for this position is $163,000 - $263,350. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Temporary employees are eligible for paid holidays in accordance with dent
