About the Role: 

As Grön's IT Specialist, you will provide technical, operations & training support to all users of the company's computers. Responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, upgrading, and maintaining hardware and software, user account administration, and compliance requirements. This person will proactively monitor network, server, and desktop resources including Windows workstations, laptops and printers, and support the onboarding and offboarding of all employees. In addition, supporting the procurement of new tools and management of all software licensing. 

 

This role will be hybrid, 2-3 days a week in our Portland HQ. This person will report to our Director of People & Culture and once hired will work out with the Director a schedule that will work best for this individual to cover multiple US based time zones. 

 

In this role you will: 

  • Provide daily IT support to HQ employees, including troubleshooting hardware, software, printers, and connectivity issues 
  • Set up and maintain laptops, phones, office equipment, user accounts, and SaaS tools 
  • Ensure reliable internet, VPN, and internal server access; coordinate with ISPs and vendors as needed 
  • Track company hardware and software licenses, warranties, and inventory 
  • Maintain appropriate permissions and ensure company data is protected, especially across remote sites and cloud platforms 
  • Create and maintain basic IT documentation, SOPs, and onboarding/offboarding checklists 
  • Ensure technology practices support cannabis regulatory requirements (e.g. seed to sale tracking, data access, surveillance) 
  • Recommend tools, processes, and improvements to scale IT support as the business grows 

 

You’ll be a great fit if you have the following: 

  • 2+ years of experience in IT, ideally as a team of one or a small team 
  • You have experience working in SharePoint and Microsoft environments. Bonus points if you feel confident navigating Microsoft tools on Apple systems 
  • You have supported the onboarding and offboarding flows, partnering closely with HR teams to create a top-notch employee experience 
  • You have experience in analysis, implementation, and evaluation of IT systems
