The USF College of Nursing invites applications for the role of Assistant Dean for Prelicensure Nursing. Reporting to the Associate Dean of Pre-Licensure of Nursing, this leadership position is responsible for the oversight and advancement of all undergraduate nursing pathways (Upper Division and Accelerated) across three campuses – Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Sarasota-Manatee. This includes program development, strategic enrollment growth, student success, and accreditation compliance.

This is a full-time, onsite leadership role based at the USF College of Nursing. In-person presence during standard business hours is expected. Remote work option is not available for this position.

Provide leadership across prelicensure pathways and instructional sites.

Oversee recruitment, enrollment, retention, graduation, and NCLEX outcomes.

Ensure consistency and quality across programs, policies, and clinical placements.

Support student experiences from recruitment to graduation in collaboration with key offices. 

Supervise and develop prelicensure faculty, including onboarding and evaluation. 

Maintain accreditation standards and collaborate on data tracking and reporting.

Remain engaged in teaching, scholarship, and service aligned with faculty rank.

Minimum Qualifications:

Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Normally will have produced creative work, professional writing or research in referred and other professional journals. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Associate Professor.

Additional Minimum Qualifications:

Must hold, or be eligible for, licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Florida by the start date.

Preferred Qualifications:

Evidence of excellence in teaching prelicensure nursing courses across multiple instructional modalities (in-person, online, hybrid) in an undergraduate program.

Demonstrated leadership experience in academic undergraduate program administration, including curriculum development, faculty supervision, and strategic planning. 

Expertise in mentoring and evaluating faculty, fostering professional growth, and building collaborative teams. 

Strong record of supporting student success, including initiatives to improve retention, graduation, and licensure exam outcomes.

Experience managing clinical education, including partnerships with healthcare organizations and oversight of clinical placements.

Expertise in collecting, analyzing, and reporting data to support accreditation processes and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
