About the team and the role:
TCGplayer connects hobbyists and hobby businesses to communities. We relentlessly improve the exchange of things and thoughts that fuel passions, providing the most compelling destination and tools for collectible card game enthusiasts and professional sellers! TCGplayer, now a part of eBay, promotes and drives growth of our products and services by connecting a global community of millions of buyers with tens of thousands of retailers in a $25B global collectible hobby market.
Cloud Platform Engineering (CPE) is responsible for the stability, reliability, and deployment of TCGplayer.com technology. Our primary function is to increase the efficiency of the organization through well designed automation and infrastructure.
We are seeking a seasoned Technical Delivery Lead to become part of TCGplayer’s CPE team. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in leading complex technical projects from conception to delivery. As a Technical Delivery Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of project definition, intake, resourcing, management/execution, and related reporting, ensuring that they meet quality standards, are delivered on time, and within budget.

What you will accomplish:
Lead the intake, planning, execution, and delivery of all CPE projects
Identify relevant stakeholders and coordinate cross-functional teams of software developers, engineers, architects, and other technical staff - be an embedded representative for CPE
Define project scopes, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and all stakeholders
Develop detailed project plans to track progress and adjust as necessary to meet changing needs and requirements
Ensure technical projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately. Manage project risks, including the development of contingency plans, RAID logs, and exception reports.
Communicate project status, issues, and successes to stakeholders and senior management
Creative observations - help identify gaps in process and generate creative solutions that fit within the TCGp developing Product and Software Development lifecycles
What you will bring:
6+ years of experience in technical project management, with a solid understanding of the functional interface between software development and infrastructure (*Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification preferred)
Proven track record of delivering complex technical projects on time and within budget via a strong knowledge of project management principles, practices, and tools (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Kanban, PMI)
High level understanding of infrastructure design, including network, data, and application architecture. Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and/or familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices preferred

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure while maintaining a good sense of humor - be flexible and understanding
