About the traineeship

Each of the trainee positions is distinct, tied to a specific business area and working location within our Procurement Department. This means that each position has its own tailored responsibilities, challenges and matching profile.

Your role as an International Procurement Trainee (m/f/w) - Procurement Indirect
In Procurement Indirect, we ensure that our company runs smoothly by sourcing the essentials needed for daily operations and we play a crucial role in driving efficiency, innovation and cost-effectiveness across all business areas. Our team operates across three key areas: IT Procurement, Contingent Workforce - and HR & Facility Management. This team will be your home base and from here, you will gain hands-on experience in international procurement processes.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with your colleagues and stakeholders to understand sourcing requirements and needs, and align procurement strategies with business goals.
• Strategic & Smart Buying - Support procurement experts in evaluating suppliers, preparing negotiations, and analyzing cost structures to optimize purchasing for HR & Facility Management.
• Digital Transformation - Be part of the future by digitalizing processes, implementing automation tools, and bringing fresh ideas to transform the way procurement operates.
• Turn Data into Smart Decisions - Gather and manage supplier information, track market trends, and contribute to data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications

Your qualifications as an International Procurement Trainee (m/f/w) - Procurement Indirect

To be considered for our traineeship, we are looking for candidates who should:      

• Be a recent graduate with an academic degree or expected graduation before September 2025.     
• Have maximum one year of work experience after completing your most recent degree. Interns and student jobs will not be considered.   
• Be fluent in English. Skills in other languages are a plus.      
• Be organized, proactive, open minded and results oriented. 
• Be willing to travel regularly and relocate for short rotations within our organization.    
• Identify with our values: active, open, positive and safe.      
• Have a strong desire for long-term commitment to contribute to Vattenfall’s vision, making a lasting impact on the future of energy.
