ManTech is seeking a motivated, proactive, creative, career and customer-oriented Business Development Account Executive with extensive experience and knowledge of Department of Homeland Security (DHS) offices and stakeholders. This position will be focused on bringing ManTech’s core solutions and capabilities to market within DHS including cybersecurity, application development, systems engineering, mission and enterprise IT, and advanced analytics solutions.  

This position directly contributes to the ManTech Federal Civilian (FedCiv) Sector’s objectives by continuing and accelerating our growth within the DHS Division. Reporting to the Vice President of FedCiv Growth, this highly visible position works with the most senior leaders across ManTech to develop and execute account strategies and drive business growth.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate new and existing client relationships to develop our business and visibility within DHS – coordinated with our DHS operations teams – that result in organic and inorganic growth.

  • Acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of ManTech’s capabilities, technology, and business objectives. Use this knowledge to design and execute creative and differentiated growth strategies and client engagements as well as influence future capability development efforts.

  • Identify, qualify, and support the capture of new business for the DHS Division. This includes ownership of the DHS new business pipeline and account/opportunity-specific client call plans within our Salesforce-based system. Maintain a 3+ year sales pipeline of qualified business opportunities by constantly identifying and qualifying new opportunities.

  • Conduct introductory and ongoing briefing(s) with various DHS Component leadership and management teams, with a priority focus on U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

  • Maintain business relationships with other industry partners to facilitate teaming and thorough awareness of the competitive market.

  • Participate in and host DHS industry events that highlight investments and service capabilities.

  • Review and evaluate proposal documents during color reviews and in preparation for proposal submission.

  • Participate in oral presentation and video proposal submission reviews.

Position Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience selling technology and services to the Federal Government.

  • Experience building and maintaining sales pipelines that consistently achieve sufficiency targets.

  • Prior experience developing business to and strong relationships within DHS, including knowledge of DHS Components and missions, that resulted in business growth.

  • Strong reputation within the DHS community with a mix of direct program experience coupled with direct experience in the realm of Federal business development.

  • Demonstrated track record of qualifying, developing, and winning opportunities, as a prime Federal Systems Integrator contractor, greater than $100M.

Clearance Requirement:
US Citizenship

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance is preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
