This role supports the Program Planning and Control (PP&C) Office of the EVA and Human Surface Mobility Program (EHP) in the planning and execution of programmatic life cycle review for both program and project elements.
This is a full-time position located at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. This role is hybrid requiring 3-4 days on site, 1-2 days telework
What You’ll Be Doing
- Serve as the Primary Point of Contact (POC) member of the PP&C Management Team for all EHP Program Offices and EHP Projects programmatic requirements levied by NPR 7120.5 in preparation for an Life Cycle Review (LCR) or Key Decision Point (KDP).
- Guide the other offices or projects on the level of the maturity matrix products for each stage of the LCR or phase of the KDP.
- Draft, develop, and manage the EHP Program Plan and manage all EHP PP&C Maturity Matrix Products for baseline and revision for all LCR/KDPs.
- Review all Program and Project maturity matrix products within the milestone tool for all EHP LCRs or KDPs.
- Interface with EHP management to assist with the development of the KDP Executive documentation for the NASA Headquarters secretariat for all Mission Directorate Program Management Council (DPMC) and Agency Program Management Council (APMC).
- Assist the EHP Program Executive facilitate information, develop presentations, and edit presentations with the NASA Headquarters assigned secretariat.
- Provide a consistent interface with EHP PP&C management to progress the processes developed and used by the PP&C office; guide the internal teams and gather information on new or upcoming processes in work to prepare for implementation within the office or on an LCR.
- Interface regularly with SE&I LCR Team/Review Managers to develop a successful plan for executing all EHP Program LCRs.
- Interface with the EHP Projects – attend working groups, panels, and board meetings as the EHP PP&C LCR interface.
- Provide input to LCR Technical Plans and processes in preparation for a review.
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited program in applicable STEM areas
- At least 8 years of increasingly responsible professional experience
- Knowledge and understanding of the NASA program life cycle processes and program/project management stages
- Ability to effectively utilize oral and written communication to express concepts and recommendations to personnel at all technical and managerial levels
- Ability to work effectively and quickly in real-time environments of rapid change, conflicting requirements, and occasional pressure
