PMHNP - FT Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner / Columbia, TN

River Region Psychiatric Associates, www.rrpa.us, is the fastest growing private practice in the southeastern United States. We are currently looking for a PMHNP provider for our Columbia, TN market. This FT opportunity would be primarily IP, with some OP.

For our full time providers, we offer an excellent starting salary, a full health benefits package, 401k, CME time, malpractice provided, and an annual PMHNP student loan payment offered. All new graduates, defined as less than 12 months full time experience in a psychiatric advanced practice provider role, will participate in the River Region Psychiatry Associates transition to practice program. The program consists of mentor support and advanced training in assessment, clinical reasoning, prescribing practices and role development.

Requirements

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Must possess a minimum of a Master of Science in Nursing.
• Those six years are composed of a 4-year undergraduate nursing program followed by a 2-year nurse practitioner master's program that includes psychiatric nursing.
• Must have or pursuing a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
• Must have or be able to apply for a DEA

Prior experience in providing mental health counseling services within a clinical setting

• Must possess a State License to practice Nursing and it must be in good standing.
• Must possess the knowledge base in health promotion maintenance, advanced pathophysiology, advanced health assessment and pharmacology for advanced practice nurses.
• Must possess the following concepts: individual and family psychotherapy, psychiatric-mental health nursing across the lifespan, advanced assessment in psychiatric-mental health nursing and psychopharmacology.
