Are you looking for a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment? We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Warehouse Lead to manage inventory and processes, ensuring the delivery of accurate, high-quality products at competitive costs to Seedway customers. As a key member of our team, you will play an essential part in ensuring that our products are treated, packaged and prepared for shipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead warehouse team through delegation, training and focusing on high customer standards.
- Oversee operational processes, organizational flow, and inventory management.
- Conduct regular inspections of structural components, forklifts, and equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Schedule and manage equipment maintenance to maintain operational efficiency.
- Maintain and organize inventory, ensuring product compliance with state seed laws and accurate lot numbers for shipping.
- Collaborate with office staff to efficiently handle customer service and counter sales, ensuring proper documentation.
- Conduct quality control and assist in the preparation of shipments, both for border crossing and domestic sales.
- Maintain trial seed inventory and ensure it's accessible and organized.
- May be exposed to heat and cold.
Qualifications:
- Normally requires an : Associate’s Degree in agricultural or business-related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years in a supervisory role with a focus on inventory and operations.
- Strong understanding of competitive practices, inventory management, and product knowledge.
- Proficiency in collaboration, communication, decision-making, and customer focus.
- Experience in quality control processes and understanding of agronomy or energy operations (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record, ability to travel independently.
- Ability to work extended hours and be on-call as needed.
