Senior Accountant

<p><strong>Affidea Group, </strong>the largest provider of primary healthcare services in Europe, in the context of the continuous development of its activities, is looking for an <strong>Senior </strong><strong>Accountant </strong>to join the Finance team in <strong>Athens</strong>!</p> <p><br/></p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul><li>Oversee accounting entries such as revenue, expenses, payments, and receipts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards.</li><li>Prepare and manage complex balance sheets, conducting in-depth reviews to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and alignment with organizational goals.</li><li>Ensure excellent knowledge and application of MyData regulations, assisting the team in staying compliant with Greek financial reporting standards.</li><li>Lead reconciliations across all accounting circuits, including Assets, Customers, Suppliers, Fixed Assets, and Inventories, identifying discrepancies and solving complex issues.</li><li>Manage and monitor the fixed assets register, ensuring correct reporting and depreciation schedules.</li><li>Drive participation in key financial projects, including system upgrades, financial audits, and process improvements.</li><li>Compile and present data for internal controls, supporting audit readiness and compliance with regulatory requirements.</li><li>Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, ensuring documentation accuracy for all financial transactions and providing insights to senior management. </li></ul> <h3>Requirements</h3> <ul><li><strong>At least 8 years' </strong>experience in a similar position</li><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field</li><li>Excellent computer literacy, with experience in ERP systems, accounting software, and MS Office</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including data analysis, pivot tables, and advanced functions)</li><li>Very good knowledge of English (written and spoken)</li><li>Strong proficiency in General Accounting, GAAP, and VAT regulations</li><li>Strong organizational, methodical thinking, and communication skills</li><li>A collaborative, team-oriented spirit</li></ul> <p><br/></p> <p><strong>Good to Have: </strong></p> <ul><li>Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is considered a plus</li><li>Familiarity with SAP will be highly advantageous<strong><br/></strong></li></ul> <p><br/></p> <p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p> <ul><li>Competitive remuneration package</li><li>A modern and challenging environment</li><li>Personal development opportunities</li><li>Private Health Insurance on the Company’s group program</li><li>Discount policy on group services</li></ul> <p><br/></p> <p><strong>About Affidea:</strong></p> <p>We are a highly successful pan-European healthcare provider offering premium outpatient services, imaging, laboratory diagnostic, orthopedy and cancer detection, and treatment.
