This role is being offered on a 12 month fixed-term basis.
About the Role
The Customer Insight Data Analyst is responsible for supporting the delivery of the customer insight programme, to ensure business decisions are made based on sound customer data.
You will champion the co-ordination of insight across the business and be responsible for understanding what customer engagement projects are being conducted, the audience for the research and the timeline. As our team champion, you will meet regularly with stakeholders, to understand what activities they are carrying out and to identify their insight requirements. Key aspects of the role include:
Supporting the Customer Insight Manager in conducting primary research, including analysing survey results and writing questionnaires, to increase the businesses understanding of customer needs
Raising awareness of insight projects and findings through a variety of sources including, reports, dashboards, posts on internal communication channels, news articles and presentations
Providing ad hoc data and insights to answer requests from senior management team, other colleagues, and project teams.
Taking responsibility for building, creating, and automating accurate contact lists – training will be provided
Understanding and co-ordinating customer engagement projects across OS
What we’re looking for
The perfect candidate will be a self-starter equally comfortable working at home or with others and is willing to learn and develop their own skills proactively. This should include:
An inquisitive mind, experienced in determining the ‘so what’ from customer comments or data
Knowledge of primary research methods and survey systems
Proficiency in MS Office, with a special emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
Can do attitude to all work, whether it is a small admin task to analysing complex data
Experience in using customer databases would be desirable
Graduate or equivalent within business studies, statistics or other related marketing or market research field OR have a reasonable amount of related relevant experience

Location
We embrace a hybrid working model at OS and understand there is no one size fits all in relation to how we work. We have a fantastic HQ in Southampton, Hampshire where you will be required to spend up to 4 days a month in the office with the remaining time being a personal choice as to whether you work from home, at one of our regional offices or spend more time at OSHQ.
