Role Summary
The Network Scheduling Analyst works on a fast-paced team whose responsibilities include building operationally feasible schedules and developing solutions to schedule planning and analysis activities. This role will have a specific focus on Alaska Air Group’s expanding international route portfolio. The Network Scheduling Analyst makes decisions in the development, implementation, and tracking of future international flight schedules and builds schedule scenarios that optimize commercial revenue goals and adheres to all global operational parameters and constraints. Successful candidates for this role excel in fast-paced ambiguous environments, dive deep into ops and commercial data, look around corners, and effectively manage diverse stakeholders.
Key Duties
- In the intermediate level, as an individual contributor, this role makes recommendations and actions to optimize international seasonal, out-for-sale, and conceptual flight schedules. Additionally, this role will assist in the development of the capacity and schedule plan for assigned regions while ensuring adherence to Alaska Air Group’s international slot portfolio and station parameters.
- In the senior level, as an individual contributor, this role is a subject matter expert in international flight schedule planning and analysis. This role exercises considerable judgment to make decisions and recommendations in the development of optimized seasonal, out-for-sale, and conceptual flight schedules. This role may also own capacity decisions for their assigned regions ensuring adherence to Alaska Air Group’s international slot portfolio and station parameters. This role proactively makes recommendations to address tradeoffs between operational, fleet, and revenue considerations to produce industry-leading international schedules, leading the communication stream between Network Scheduling and the other commercial teams.
Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills
All Levels
Required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of airline fundamentals and economics.Must be a self-starter who is able to work independently under tight deadlines.
- Superior analytical and critical thinking skills.Excellent at multi-tasking and able to reprioritize responsibilities as priorities change.
- Demonstrates the ability and passion to continuously look for ways to improve the Alaska Airlines network and flight schedule.
- Minimum age of 18.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred
- Prior knowledge and experience with international network scheduling and slot management.
- Prior experience at an airline with a global network portfolio.
Intermediate Level
Required
- 2 years of experience in passenger airline network planning and scheduling, revenue management, or a related analytical role.
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus in business administration, economics, statistics, engineering, mathematics, accounting, finance, computer science, or a related area, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.
Senior LevelRequired
- 4 years of experience in passenger airline network planning and scheduling, revenue management, or a related analytical role.
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus in business administration, economics, statistics, engineering, mathematics, accounting, finance, computer science, or a related area, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.

Salary Range
$91,200 -- $173,050 / yearBonus
Pay Details
Intermediate level: $91,200 - 136,800
Senior level: $115,350 - 173,050
