Venesco LLC is looking for two Medical Technicians / Vocational Nurses / Practical Nurses. In this role you will provide support to USAFSAM Department of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM/FE). USAFSAM/FE is responsible for the conceptual and preliminary design, as well as the implementation and sustainment of standardized processes for use in Base Operational Medical Clinic (BOMC). #24-19

In 2015, Air Force Audit Agency found several deficiencies in the quality of Air Force Operational Medical Care. As a result, the Air Force standardized, and is currently optimizing, several workflows in Aerospace and Operational Medicine. These workflows are to be primarily executed under the Base Operational Medical Clinic (usually in conjunction with Flight Medicine), but are also being performed by other Air Force medical staff (including Primary Care, and Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve). The 711th United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM), FE Department develops Base Operational Medical Clinic (BOMC) workflows. Development of these workflows are complex. These workflows have a direct impact on troop medical readiness, affecting the end-strength of the Air Force, thus making quality the first priority. However, often conflicting with quality, the workflows are executed by medical personnel, who are judged on speed of care/efficiency – which can contrast with quality. Due to this inherent tension, BOMC workflow development requires a vast knowledge base: engineers, medical subject experts, instructional designers, and other laypersons have to collaborate in a shared space to ensure workflows developed for clinical situations have highly reliable/standardized processes, while remaining effective and palatable for the field. The

workflows are primarily implemented in the Aeromedical Services Information Management System (ASIMS), however, other methods (paper, electronic forms, MHS GENESIS, AHLTA) may institute these workflows. Any coding of these workflows into Electronic Health Records or Operational Systems are done by a separate office. Training created to support workflows are implemented on the Air Force’s distributed learning service, and a variety of in-person classes. The workflows designed are inherently military in nature and other than Occupational Health, do not have a civilian counterpart. At base, these workflows involve medical staff comparing a Service Member’s medical history and current condition to a list of medical standards in order to clear the member for continued service, new assignment, or retirement.

The 711th Human Performance Wing (711 HPW), headquartered at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio, is the first human-centric warfare wing to consolidate human performance research, education and consultation under a single organization. Responsibilities:

• 1.2.1 The contractor employee shall prepare and submit administrative reports.
• 1.2.2 The contractor employee shall analyze relevant Air Force Medical Service business processes to verify project goals and strategies.
• 1.2.3 The contractor employee shall support various Air Force Medical Service organizations in planning and programming to transition system elements.
• 1.2.4 The contractor employee shall coordinate system development tasks to include design, integration, and testing.
• 1.2.5 The contractor employee shall design and complete actions in system specifications, technical and logistical requirements, and other disciplines.
• 1.2.6 The contractor employee shall create and maintain programmatic and technical documentation to insure efficient planning and execution.
• 1.2.7 The contractor employee shall manage and document system configurations.

Requirements

Mandatory Qualifications

• 1.1.1.1 The contractor employee shall have a minimum of 2 years of experience in aerospace medicine or military primary care in the past 5 years.
• 1.1.1.2 The contractor employee shall have a minimum of 2 years of experience consistent with a prior flight and operational medical technician (4N0X1F), core aerospace medical service (4N0X1), or equivalent sister service
