Job Description

We’re seeking a seasoned Senior Manager of Accounting to join our client’s forward-thinking team in the cannabis industry. Responsibilities

• Spearhead all accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance within the complex regulatory framework of the cannabis industry
  
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis and provide strategic insights to guide critical business decisions
  
• Lead cross-departmental collaborations to optimize financial processes and systems, driving efficiency and growth
  
• Craft and present comprehensive financial reports to senior management, translating complex data into actionable strategies
  
• Mentor and develop a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  
• Stay ahead of industry trends and regulatory changes, ensuring the company remains compliant and competitive
  
• Drive the implementation of cutting-edge financial technologies to streamline operations and enhance reporting capabilities
  

Requirements

• CPA certification with a proven track record of excellence in accounting
  
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a senior management role
  
• Deep understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards, particularly as they apply to the cannabis industry
  
• Exceptional analytical skills with a talent for problem-solving in complex financial scenarios
  
• Strong leadership abilities with a track record of successfully managing and mentoring accounting teams
  
• Excellent communication skills, adept at translating financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
  
• Proficiency in advanced accounting software and financial management tools
  
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote work environment, managing multiple priorities effectively
