General Summary of Job Duties Principle Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintain a high quality of guest service according to Silverton Values.
- Check for proper identification of a guest appearing to be under the age of 35 years old.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future.

Qualifications
Skills, Education & Other Requirements
- Knowledge of aquarium systems including life support systems for fish, animal husbandry, maintenance needs, and quarantine protocols for a large variety of marine species.
- Knowledge of general fish biology.
- Knowledge of the basic principles of water filtration and tank cycling.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures for working around and within a 117,000 gallon salt water aquarium and associated laboratory/quarantine facilities.
- Ability to trouble shoot and fix pumps, pump parts and motors 3HP and under.
- Proficient with Hach and Thermo Scientific water quality testing equipment.
- Ability to correctly alter water parameters as well as calculate and administer drugs/treatments.
- Basic knowledge of ozone units.
- Basic working knowledge of the purchasing program SWS.
- Scuba certified or prepared to obtain scuba certification.
- Ability to effectively communicate with both staff members and managers.
- Ability to keep records and communicate effectively and diplomatically, both orally and in writing.
- Upbeat attitude and sense of humor.
- 5 years experience with a large (more than 20,000 gallons) public oriented aquarium working with marine fish and/or life support.
- Bachelors of Science Degree in Biologic
