We are looking for self-starters that are the world’s best in their field, who can innovate from a deep understanding of the fundamentals, and who share our values of unwavering truth seeking and integrity, humility, curiosity, and relentless determination.</p> <h1><strong>Role Description</strong></h1> <p>We are recruiting for an exceptional <strong>Electrical Engineer - Compute Hardware Design</strong> to design and test innovative robotic hardware ranging from architectural development through to detailed circuit and PCB/A design and board testing and integration.</p> <p>In this role you will:</p> <ul> <li>Perform architectural and compute / component selection trade studies.</li> <li>Work closely with our business development, modeling &amp; simulation, software, safety, mechanical, integration &amp; testing, and industrial design teams to define operating conditions, performance requirements, and packaging / thermal targets.</li> <li>Design circuits and PCB/A design from conceptual architecture through detailed design and fabrication / assembly drawing release.</li> <li>Perform circuit and layout analyses to support design reviews and validate the design/layout meets timing requirements.</li> <li>Work with vendors and manufacturers to produce your components and assemblies.</li> <li>Support board build, bring-up, design verification, and testing of robotic hardware.</li> </ul> <h1><strong>Qualifications</strong></h1> <p><em>Must-have:</em></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in electrical engineering, robotics, mechatronics, or similar field.</li> <li>5+ years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on designing compute hardware.</li> <li>Expert user of circuit simulation and eCAD software to design circuits and PCB/As.</li> <li>Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) practices for PCB/A and module assemblies.</li> <li>Experience designing circuits and PCB layout to meet power integrity and high speed signal integrity &amp; timing.</li> <li>Self-starter that can drive a concept forward and continuously improve definition through team interaction.</li> </ul> <p><em>Nice-to-have:</em></p> <ul> <li>PhD in electrical engineering, robotics, mechatronics, or similar field.</li> <li>Expert user of Altium Designer eCAD software.</li> </ul>
