About the role

About us
We're November Five. We’re makers. Doers, designers, strategists. Different backgrounds, one mindset. We say what we mean and do what we say. Passion walks in the door; expertise evolves over time.

Feedback is direct. We’re hard on the work but soft on the people behind it. As craftsmen and women across our core capabilities, our passion transcends our expertise, and the roles we assume are fluid. United in our drive to defy limits and move beyond, we collaborate deeply, always on the lookout for more allies.

Requirements

What you’ll do

  • Own the full visual and experience design process. From first sketch or concept, to polished delivery, with a focus on shaping moments that stick, not just flows that work.
  • Translate research and business goals into journeys, wireframes, UI, and prototypes that tap into deeper drivers like reassurance, autonomy, fairness, esteem, or connection.
  • Prototype interaction flows and signature moments, using primarily Figma for craft and interaction tools (Rive, After Effects, Lovable, Replit, …) to explore new forms of interaction and emotional resonance.
  • Facilitate workshops, co-design, and critiques that help clients and teams understand how design choices shape both experience and memory.
  • Establish and guard design standards. Component thinking, MCP's, Typescales, and W3C standards in accessibility and sustainability are known concepts. Ensuring consistency where needed and distinctiveness where it matters.
  • Co-create with stakeholders and teammembers. Throughout your work by iterating through internal reviews, client feedback, and customer feedback.
  • Bring our Design Philosophy (MX™) into every project by identifying the right moments to amplify, simplifying where necessary, and adding meaning where it creates lasting value.

What we’re looking for

  • A designer who thrives in ambiguity and can bring clarity, structure, and direction to open-ended problem spaces.
  • Strong visual craft. An excellent eye for composition, typography, layout and overall aesthetics.
  • A portfolio or personal example that reflects a love of all things design, strong taste, refined UI, cohesive visual direction, and thoughtful interaction design.
  • A clear, structured thinker who can justify decisions with logic, customer insights, and business understanding.
  • A design advocate who believes in design as a driver of customer experience, business impact, and client education.
  • An excellent communicator who can lead conversations, explain reasoning, and influence stakeholders.
  • Highly skilled with design and prototyping tools — Figma expertise is essential; experimentation with interactive/vibecoding tools is a plus.
  • Experience owning end-to-end design processes, balancing customer needs, technical constraints, and business goals.
  • Comfortable collaborating in multidisciplinary teams, embedding design within product, engineering, and research workflows.
  • A pragmatic, human-first view on AI. You see AI as a junior co-worker: great for accelerating tasks, automating the repetitive, and expanding exploration, but never as a substitute for your own thinking, taste, or strategic judgment.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience (agency, consulting, or product environments are a plus).
  • Fluent in Dutch and English

While it’s not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:

  • Affinity with motion and interaction design (Rive, After effects, Lottie,...), digital sustainability standards, branding and visual storytelling
  • Experience with low-code web tools like Webflow, Framer, ...
  • An understanding of branding capabilities, marketing concepts
  • Experimented with visual AI tooling like Midjourney or Weavy
  • You have other creative outlets like music, art, cooking or love team sports
