Robert Bosch LLC seeks Software Engineer (Multiple Positions) at its facility located at 15000 Haggerty Road, Plymouth, MI 48170. Responsible for overall Function Safety Management in context of Engineering of Bosch Automotive Brake Systems. Analyze and define the functional safety requirements within the project based on the customer requirements. Understand and analyze the requirements from the end user perspective while considering constraints and safety standards as the main objective. Carry out the design analysis to support the development of safety case arguments for electronic stability controller. Create and update the hazard and risk analyses, safety plan, functional and technical safety concept. Specify safety requirements and safety concepts for system/components. Support the definition and specification of safety requirements for hardware and software architectures. Judge if system design and architecture can fulfill requirements, considering hardware-software components, interfaces, functional and environmental dependencies, using basic understanding of computer/vehicle networks, hardware, and software design. Collaborate with the design team in the design of effective technical solutions aimed to achieve adequate robustness at System, HW and SW architectural level in compliance with ISO26262 and Bosch process. Leads/supports Safety Assessment Reviews held by safety assessor. Lead and perform safety analysis using standard deductive (FMEA, FMEDA) and inductive (H&R, FTA) methods, the outcomes of these analyses will inform to the system design/architecture responsible. Support the safety verification & validation activities. Lead and participate customer safety review meetings. REQS: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 3 years of experience as an Automotive Systems Engineer, Functional Safety Engineer or other occupation involving system engineering. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) System or functional safety (ISO26262); (2) Vehicle electrical architecture; (3) Agile methods, ASPICE development process, DOORS, or IQ-RM Pro; (4) Embedded software development for safety critical automotive systems; and (5) Vehicle dynamics. Telecommuting: Hybrid -2 days a week in office. Travel: Up to 10% domestic and international travel.
