Prudential's Group Insurance Controllers organization is looking for a highly motivated and resourceful individual for the role of Manager, Financial Reporting. This individual will support Senior Management and other business partners in measuring and evaluating the financial performance of the business, data analytics and management reporting of financial results.

What you can expect:

• Demonstrate an understanding of accounting principles (GAAP and STAT) and underlying products within the business
• Oversee the preparation and review of Group Insurance monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data in accordance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements
• Analyze financial results and provide clear and concise messaging and insights to senior management through the Results Review Package and other quarterly deliverables
• Provide financial insights and support for strategic initiatives and business decisions related to Group Insurance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business performance and achieve organizational goals
• Support quarterly/annual audits by Internal Auditors, independent external auditors, and federal reporting requirements
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
• Leverage technology and best practices to streamline financial processes

What you’ll need:

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 5-7 years accounting/financial reporting experience
• Written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with senior management
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Ability to succeed both independently as well as part of a team
• Proven ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet deadlines
• PC skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Overtime expected during peak periods

It’d be a plus if you had:

• CPA or MBA is a plus
• Knowledge of insurance products
