Entegris’ Semiconductor manufacturing site in Hillsboro, OR is seeking a Manager within Manufacturing Operations to join our team. The Manufacturing Operations Manager will lead a fast-paced, high-energy, and professionally rewarding environment while driving the organization towards a continuously improving and operationally mature culture. In this role you be primarily be focusing on improving material flow, develop tier structure for better shift to shift passdown, improve efficiency, drive 6S, and lead safety investigations to achieve Operational excellence within a compressed work week shift structure. This position reports to the Manager, Manufacturing Operations.
What You’ll Do:
Manage production activities associated with Entegris’ CMP Pads business
Manage a compressed work week (CWW) team of 5-8 direct reports with 20-40 second level reports
Be accountable for the safety, quality, cost, throughput, and on-time shipment of critical products for the demanding semiconductor industry
Translate manufacturing strategies into operational objectives, goals, and metrics to drive performance improvements in the areas of EHS, quality, on-time delivery, and cost to enable the profitable growth of the businesses
Contribute to the strategic direction of the business and participate in its execution
Manage the training program for manufacturing personnel in the operation of new and existing equipment and process
Ensuring and maintaining adequate cross-training and contingency planning for operations personnel and equipment
Holding employees accountable to established processes and procedures
Coordinate production activities with maintenance, repairs, and development requirements to maintain targeted production levels and commercial requirements
Coordinate and align with internal and external stakeholders on critical operational and supply chain requirements
Partner with Research & Development and New Product Introduction teams in bringing new products and processes to pilot and high-volume manufacturing states
What We Seek:
Must be a strong leader, self-motivated, and a very good communicator
2-5 years’ experience with management and development of manufacturing and operations employees
Ideal candidate will have a B.S. degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or another Engineering discipline and 10+ years manufacturing or operations experience with continuously increasing responsibility and oversight
Excellent planning, organization, and leadership skills
Flexibility to adapt to varying work environments, work force, and customers’ needs
Proven experience leading cross-functional teams in a complex manufacturing environment to achieve business objectives
Manufacturing Math / Factory Physics experience desirable
Lean and/or Six Sigma experience desirable
