Clinical Education Specialist, Marshall Medical Centers North, ER, PRN,1st shift

Overview

Responsible for clinical, consultative and educational activities that identifies and facilitates processes to address the learning needs of staff. Accountable for developing and monitoring clinical orientation for nursing services, policies and procedures, and opportunities for staff development. Works closely with Education Director and departmental educators to ensure quality.

Qualifications

 

·        Education/Licensure/Certifications

·        BSN Preferred. Current Alabama RN license or a current multi-state RN license. ACLS, BLS, and PALS Instructor Status required before the conclusion

         of the orientation period.

·        Experience

·        Minimum of five years’ experience as a staff nurse. Prefer recent management and/or instructor experience. Specialty experience preferred.

·        Additional Skills/Abilities

·        Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and

         quickly. Must have knowledge of all equipment and materials required for procedures described in the Nursing Services Policies and Procedures. Must

         be proficient in use of computer, to include word processing and spreadsheet applications.
