Job Description: The energy intern will support the corporate sustainability team by assisting with projects/initiatives that help drive increased energy efficiency and/or energy greenhouse gas emissions reductions across Andersen’s operations. This role will work with cross-functional stakeholders to understand current processes, propose and implement potential improvements, and measure the impacts and/or performance of these improvements.
Tasks could include:
- Assist in the development and execution of energy projects that increase efficiency and/or reduce energy carbon footprint in our facilities.
- Gather/analyze the operating data and performance of certain energy-intensive processes/equipment and propose possible changes or improvements.
- Work with a certain business unit to develop a strategy or roadmap for reducing energy usage and/or carbon footprint.
- Research emerging energy efficient or renewable energy technologies or trends that could be utilized within the company.
Basic qualifications:
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a target graduation date in 2027 or 2028 (current sophomore or junior)
- Coursework in engineering, environmental science, physical sciences, or other related fields.
Preferred qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience working with quantitative environmental/sustainability data and performing various calculations
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to wor
