Description
As a Safety Pharmacoepidemiologist at Verily, you will have the opportunity to leverage your extensive knowledge of drug safety surveillance, pharmacoepidemiology, and observational healthcare databases and registries, to design, implement, and optimize solutions that enhance decision-making, patient care, and clinical research. This role is part of the Quantitative Sciences team at Verily which includes biostatistics, epidemiology, and clinical data management.
Responsibilities
- Serve as internal subject matter expert on drug safety studies and safety surveillance.
- Provide guidance to internal teams on technical requirements for Post-Marketing Requirements & Commitments, Post-Approval Safety Studies, Safety Management Plans (SMPs), Risk Management Plans (RMPs), and benefit-risk assessments.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop protocols, conduct, and deliver drug safety studies to our partners using novel data, and advanced epidemiologic study designs and analytic approaches.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:- Doctoral degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or related scientific field, or Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) with master’s degree in Epidemiology or related field.
- Experience working directly for a sponsor (e.g., pharmaceutical company), conducting drug safety studies.
- Experience interacting with pharmaceutical regulatory agencies such as FDA, and EMA.
- Minimum 5 years of related post-graduate experience in the medical product arena.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with Product teams to develop new offerings for customers.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Previous consulting experience.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $208,000 -$309,000 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
