<h1><span><b><b><b>Job Description Summary</b></b></b></span></h1>Generator Senior Product Service Engineer has functional responsibility for assigned engineering workstream. This position is primarily responsible for driving and delivering issue resolution for GE Gas Power customers via Engineering requests, Root Cause Analysis and customer technical communications. The candidate should have sound knowledge on Combined Cycle Gas plant, Generator Flange to Flange, Mechanical Accessories, and Generator Fluid systems. The individual is responsible for upholding GE's product integrity by proactively identifying customer issues, investigating technical anomalies, providing technical assessments at both component and systems levels, and communicating GE technical solutions to customers and responsible for team operational rigor to deliver on team priorities.<p></p><p></p><p></p><h1><span><b>Job Description</b></span></h1><p><b><u>Roles and Responsibilities</u></b></p><ul><li>Adhere to Standard work deliverables (RCA,ER,RFR, Customer Technical communication) aligned with EMEA Pole and global engineering priorities.</li><li>Provide technology leadership globally on Generator Flange to Flange (Stator &amp; Rotor Components), Mechanical components(H2 Seal, End Shields, Generator Frame components), incompressible medium (Seal oil, Water) and Compressible medium (Air, Co2,H2, N2) and show flexibility to enhance capability to support broader systems within the scope of Generator &amp; Electrical systems Product Service Engineering.</li><li>Execute ER and resolve in depth, technical issues in Generator technology and Electrical systems for customers timely and efficiently</li><li>Support and lead root cause investigations for issues with significant fleet impact following 8 D process from initial investigation through the CAPA phase and partner with Controlled Title Holder to perform technical risk assessment.</li><li> Support and coordinate with interfacing organizations such as manufacturing, sourcing, services operations, quality and design engineering to fulfill customer needs.</li><li>Serve as a thought leader in industry, at conferences, user groups, and customer events</li><li>Mentor and develop Generator product service engineers and provide related training</li><li>Travel to customer locations based on need to:<ul><li>Support customer technical review meetings and present recommendations to champion GE's commitment to technical solutions</li><li>Support unplanned/forced outages to meet availability goals</li><li>Provide commercial teams with technical support for sales and services proposal activities.</li></ul></li><li>Author knowledge articles as well as customer communications, including TILs (Technical Information Letter), PSSB (Product Service Safety Bulletin), PSIB (Product Service Information Bulletin), and Safety communications</li></ul><p></p><p><span><b><u>Required Qualifications</u></b></span></p><ul><li><span>Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or college or relevant experience</span></li><li><span>Experience of direct customer facing role related to combined cycle power plants</span></li><li>O<span>ccasional weekend availability may be required in case of emergency breakdowns</span> <span>.</span></li><li><span>Impactful interpersonal &amp; networking skills, proven ability to influence</span></li><li><span>Willing to work in a collaborative agile environment in a global matrix organization</span></li><li><span>Comfortable dealing with ambiguity, uncertainty with willingness to be challenged and shows flexibility</span></li><li><span>Experience and willingness to travel to customer sites to support commissioning or issue resolutions, when such need arises</span></li></ul><p></p><p><span><b><u>Desired Characteristics / Qualifications</u></b></span></p><ul><li><span>Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems.</span></li><li><span>Strong oral and written communication skills.</span></li><li><span>Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.</span></li><li><span>Assesses &amp; prioritizes problems in relation to organizational goals.</span></li><li><span>Displays good interpersonal skills - is accessible and approachable.</span></li><li><span>Anticipates customer needs and ensures that they are met.</span></li><li><span>Measures processes and performance through the customer's eyes.</span></li><li><span>Communicates messages clearly and concisely.</span></li><li><span>Builds loyalty and commitment.</span></li></ul><p></p><p><span><span>Preference will be given to current Gas Power Engineering employee</span></span></p><p></p><p></p><h1><span><b><b><b>Additional Information</b></b></b></span></h1><p><b>Relocation Assistance Provided: </b>No</p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p>
