The Maintenance Planner/Group Leader works directly with the Maintenance Manager to build a reliable maintenance system and support the maintenance team by safely and independently performing maintenance tasks, assisting with coordinating contractors, and managing the CMMS system. This position is at Metem, a GE Vernova business. Metem offers cooling hole technologies in the power generation and aerospace industries to increase engine efficiency. Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

As the Maintenance Group Leader, you will:

• Enter and manage data in the CMMS system.
• Develop and document SOP’s
• Assist with training for maintenance related activities.
• Ensure information on dispatches is accurate and up to date.
• Manage PM and other scheduled maintenance activities.
• Communicate assigned work to employees in the department.
• Specify and requisition parts for inventory and repairs.
• Repair, maintain and troubleshoot equipment and facilities.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager as needed.
• Perform, as assigned, other similar or related duties.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Ability to work 1st Shift (6am-2pm)
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in an industrial and/or equipment maintenance environment.
• Demonstrated Organizational and Leadership Skills.
• Detail oriented and methodical.
• Good Communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with PLC, CNC, and other electronic controls.
• Proficiency in electro-mechanical systems, servos, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, and industrial controls.

• Employee must work in the department where the opening is declared.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime and weekends, as required.
• Ability and willingness to qualify for / utilize specialized personal protective equipment as required for the position, including arc flash and fall protection.
• Ability and willingness to obey all safety rules, including wearing personal protective equipment (i.e., steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection in designated areas)

Desired Characteristics

• Associate degree in a technical field.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, mechanical / electrical schematics, and other specifications to determine repair method for failed components.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic principles.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
• Self-motivated and results driven.
• Experience with Microsoft Office & CMMS systems.

The base hourly pay range for this position is $44-$60/ hr. This position is also eligible for 10% shift differential. ​The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
