About the role

Overview

i3 is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Program Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the defense industry with experience in  managing complex programs and leading teams. This position is located in Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise on respective requirements and standards.
  • Instill best practices, ensure designs meet requirements, and responsible for delivering high-quality services.
  • Directly oversee project management, managing of technical teams, and interfacing/briefing Corporate Executives and DoD customers.
  • Lead program change management and the resulting cost and schedule modifications appropriately with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Responsible for the overall development life cycle for the environment and the ability to manage complex projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Work with customers, senior officials, and engineers to develop a strategy and road map that provides compelling and value-add innovations and new capabilities.
  • Instill best practices, ensure designs meet requirements, and responsible for delivering high-quality services.
  • Formulate and enforce work standards, assign contractor schedules, review work discrepancies, supervise contractor personnel and communicate policies, purposes, and goals to the organization.
  • Organize, direct and coordinate planning and implementation of all contract support activities.
  • Responsible for all staffing decisions, skill mix, and assessments.
  • Align with strategic goals and objectives of the Portfolio.
  • Responsible for growth, development, and nurturing of people, programs, capabilities, and execution activities.
  • Be responsible for the business development within current customer base and/or for new customers.
  • Be an advocate within the team for maintaining the i3 culture and embodying i3 core values.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • 20+ years of experience surrounding the defense industry is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex programs that include multiple subcontractors, material vendors, and demanding customers throughout their lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage costs on a multimillion-dollar design and development program to include ETCs, EACs, and other cost accounting methods.
  • Demonstrated ability leading and developing cross functional teams.
  • Demonstrated experience with risk management.
  • An active DoD Security Clearance and the ability to maintain a clearance is required.
  • DoD Proposals experience is preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required at minimum.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
