Position Purpose:  Provide developmental activities and supervision for children, ranging from infants to preschool age, at our licensed daycare located within the women’s residential substance use disorder treatment facility. This role ensures all services are delivered ethically, legally, and morally, in a safe and nurturing environment, while adhering to applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.

Job Requirements/Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency.
• Excellent written and verbal communications.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Attend/Obtain/Maintain CPI training/certification.
• Obtain/maintain Adult/Child CPR training/certification within 90 days of hire.
• Obtain/Maintain Mandatory Reporter training/certification within 90 days of hire.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Implement activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of children including songs, games, storytelling, and crafts.
2. Ensure equipment and the facility is clean, well maintained and safe.
3. Be familiar with and follow emergency procedures, administer first aid as necessary.
4. Provide a safe, nurturing, comfortable environment, and ensure children are always supervised.
5. Follow daily schedule including providing opportunities for sleep and rest, nutritious snacks, and lunches.
6. Communicate clearly and effectively in a manner children understand.
7. Inform parents of program expectations, activities, and child(rens) progress.
8. Maintain current, accurate and confidential files.
9. Understand and comply with all the principles established by the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
10. Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
11. Serve as a role model for other staff, clients and customers and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance.
12. Attend program meetings, participate in professional development conferences and workshops as required by licensure.
13. Assume other related responsibilities as assigned by management.

Shift Schedule: Monday- Friday, 7:30AM-3:30PM

Job Type: Full Time

Pay: Based on education, experience, and credentials

• Starting pay:  $18.00 per hour

Work Location: Rosecrance Jackson Centers, Sioux City, Iowa
