Description

The Head of IT PMO reports to the Director of IT Operations and Planning and will be responsible for developing and managing the project governance and prioritization processes for IT requests and projects. In addition this role will set all the project management standards, methodology, techniques for the IT organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement processes for IT project requests including the intake process, business case model, prioritization, and governance structure to ensure IT is focused on the right initiatives for the business.
  • Design and facilitate IT Steering Committee meetings for prioritization and approval of requests.
  • Manage monthly IT program reporting (progress to target, resourcing, interdependencies, risk mitigations, ROI) and facilitate meetings with key functional areas to ensure alignment on priorities.
  • Recommend and implement project management software, standards, forms, or tools to manage major projects appropriately.
  • Provide project management support and guidance for Verily’s IT projects and implementations.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.A. or B.S. degree (emphasis in management or related discipline preferred) or equivalent work experience
  • Experience leading and maturing a PMO in a complex organization
  • 8+ years of IT project management experience
  • Budget management experience in the IT space 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to analyze and manage complex processes and/or system issues of a broad scope using independent judgment
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal communication, collaborative teamwork, team facilitation and negotiation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that generate respect and trust from stakeholders
  • Ability to synthesize and simplify complex problems and systems
  • Passion for organization and establishing processes but finds the right balance to be efficient and minimize administrative activities

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $148,000-236,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
