Primary Duties and Responsibilities
1. Spray Painting (Primary Job):
Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas as needed.
Operate spray painting equipment to apply coatings evenly and efficiently.
Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired finishes, following specifications.
Inspect finished products for quality and consistency, making adjustments as necessary.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and environmental regulations.
2. Janitorial Duties:
Perform routine cleaning of various shop areas. This can include cleaning restrooms, common areas, or deep-cleaning machines.
Dispose of hazardous materials and waste according to company policies and regulations.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a safe working environment.
3. Crating:
Construct and prepare crates for shipping finished products.
Safely package items to prevent damage during transport.
Use equipment such as saws, nail-guns, forklifts, and cranes, to complete the task.
4. Material Handling:
Assist in the movement of materials and finished products within the manufacturing facility.
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed.
Pick and pack jobs to prepare for shipment.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
5. General Production Labor
Deburr parts
Operate manufacturing equipment such as grinders, saws, or other metalworking equipment
Basic Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years experience of spray painting in an industrial environment.
- Experience with light equipment such as forklifts, cranes, saws, and hand tools.
- Ability to be certified to operate large industrial cranes and forklifts.
- Ability to work independently or self-directed.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Physical demands include standing for up to 8-10 hours per day, frequent lifting up to 20 lbs. with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs, frequently bending.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Based on experience and initial machining aptitude test but is top-tier in the Dayton/Cincinnati area.
$22-$24/hr. Plus shift premium of $2.00 per hour if working on the off-shifts.
