ABOUT THE TEAM

The System Engineering team focuses on stress, scalability and solutions qualification of Rubrik products. This team’s mission is to design and execute complex mixed feature testing with focus on non-functional aspects, be it on-prem or public cloud. The team takes pride in breaking our product before it reaches our customers. We enjoy managing a complex infrastructure of physical and virtual clusters and data generation instances with tools & automation for alerting / telemetry at scale. ABOUT THE JOB

• Strategic Planning: Collaborate closely with product management and engineering teams from the early stages of the development cycle. Provide strategic insights during the review of PRDs, design documents, and test plans to ensure they meet both quality and non-functional requirements.
• Automation and Tools Development: Take a lead role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust automated test frameworks and scripts. Develop and enhance tools for both the test and development teams to improve overall productivity and quality.
• Coding and Technical Guidance: Write and maintain high-quality code for automation, tests and infrastructure monitoring, provide technical guidance to junior engineers, and ensure scalable automation solutions.
• Continuous Integration and Deployment: Advocate for the integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring continuous and seamless testing processes. Utilize CD tools like Ansible to manage deployment and configuration.
• Performance and Load Testing Expertise: Lead the development and execution of performance and load tests, ensuring the system meets expected performance criteria and can handle expected loads.

ABOUT YOU

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience:
• 3-6 years of experience in enterprise/distributed backend software testing and test automation.
• Experience with stress and scale testing is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in programming with Python and/or other object-oriented programming languages.
• Experience with stress and scale testing is highly desirable.
• Tools and Technologies:
• Proficiency in programming with Python and/or other object-oriented programming languages.
• Experience with tools development for test and development teams.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, version control systems like GIT, continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, and configuration management tools like Ansible.
• Knowledge of storage and data protection domains is a plus.

The minimum and maximum base salaries for this role are posted below; additionally, the role is eligible for bonus potential, equity and benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the role based on U.S. location. Within the range, the salary offered will be determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.US Pay Range$176,800—$265,200 USD
