The successful candidate should have a strong knowledge base in the application of regulations, understanding of local, state, and federal compliance requirements, regulatory experience with project delivery and proposal development skills, and ability to work collaboratively in teams. Detailed Description:

This role will provide a high level of support for implementing ongoing and new projects addressing environmental concerns of private sector projects. In addition, this position will support project development (i.e., scopes of work, proposals, and project budgeting), compliance strategy development, as well as client communication and relationship development. The position provides the opportunity to perform and support management for projects of varying size and complexity along with the ability to work closely with client contacts.

We are seeking a candidate with experience with environmental permitting and regulatory compliance, managing projects including Clean Water Act (402, 404, 401, 316) permitting; oversight of water quality, endangered species, cultural resources, land use planning, and supporting technical studies are important but not required.

Additional job responsibilities are as follows:

• Drive health and safety practices throughout all aspects of work
• Perform/oversee field investigations of projects sites including wetland and stream delineations with functional assessments according to applicable methodologies, aquatic and environmental assessments, environmental sampling (i.e., soil, surface water, groundwater, etc.), and GPS/mobile data collection.
• Perform/oversee environmental inspections and other site inspections, record and convey field observations accurately, communicate observations with contractors, clients, and regulatory parties.
• Participate in a fast-paced, highly-collaborative team atmosphere;
• Develop and deliver high quality technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables;
• Deliver quality client service and clear work products on projects while promoting companywide initiatives and values and integrating client critical success factors;
• Successfully deliver and support management of tasks and/or projects on time, on budget, and with high quality;
• Build relationships and work closely with relevant resources across the company to effectively provide technical support on regulatory compliance projects;
• Coach and mentor less experienced staff;
• Utilize internal project management tools and resources;
• Participate in improving company resources and tools to improve production and efficiency;
• Implement BC’s quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) process; and
• Support business development pursuits related to client opportunities.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• B.S. in engineering, planning, environmental science, geology or related discipline required;
• 0-6 years of professional related experience;
• Knowledgeable of state and federal environmental regulations
• Experience with power companies (ideal), mining, and/or large retail/manufacturing companies
• Task and/or project management skills including attention to health and safety; program delivery strategy development and execution by collaborating with a team of project managers and staff; financial metrics tracking; and implementation of QA/QC;
• Thorough knowledge of environmental regulations and environmental due diligence;
• Strong verbal and written (technical writing) communication skills required Valid driver’s license and good driving record are required;
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills required;
• Highly responsive, capable of working in a diverse team environment and handling multiple tasks with competing priorities;
• Positive, can-do attitude, flexible and self-motivated, and have an attention to detail;
