BUSINESS PROCESS ANALYST SENIOR

As a Business Process Analyst Senior, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of GSA. GDIT is seeking a high-performing, results-oriented Senior Business Analyst who thrives in ambiguity, drives outcomes, and is passionate about understanding the federal contract procurement business inside out. This role demands a self-starter with strong business acumen and a hands-on approach to discovery. The ideal candidate is not only a driver and go-getter but also excels at creating visual business models that translate complex concepts into clear, actionable artifacts. This individual will become a business SME through independent research, system exploration, and continuous stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Rapidly onboard and develop subject matter expertise by engaging with client stakeholders, exploring systems, and reviewing documentation
  • Lead business discovery efforts and translate findings into high-impact deliverables including visual business process flows, decision trees, customer journeys, and capability models
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and system walkthroughs to uncover gaps, clarify needs, and validate assumptions
  •  Own and maintain business documentation, workflows, and requirements with a focus on clarity, usability, and stakeholder alignment
  • Research and propose forward-looking business process improvements that anticipate industry shifts and align with emerging best practices
  • Bring innovative, future-focused ideas to clients that challenge the status quo and help evolve operational efficiency, user experience, and strategic impact

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your initiative and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Business Process Analyst Senior must have:
● Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree
● Experience: 5+ years of related experience
● Required skills:

  • 5+ years of experience as a business analyst in dynamic and cross-functional environments
  • Strong proficiency in visual business modeling and diagramming using tools such as Visio
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, self-direct, and drive clarity through investigation and engagement
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, capable of leading conversations with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • High energy, assertive, goal-oriented, and team-focused, with a strong sense of ownership
  • Hands-on experience working with enterprise systems and understanding system to business workflows
  • Jira & Confluence

● Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of federal acquisition process including FAR 12, 15, 17
  • Previous federal experience as 1102 (CO/COR)
  • Familiarity with data modeling, integration workflows, or basic UX concepts
  • Experience with prototyping tools such as Figma is a plus

The likely salary range for this position is $114,750 - $155,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location
