Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Staff Cyber Software Engineer–16498. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel program.

The Staff System Administrator is responsible for developing software for the Command & Launch (C&L) Software Team. Using DevOps and Agile methodologies you will be constantly optimizing systems and services for security, automation, and performance/availability, while ensuring solutions developed adhere and align to the baseline systems designs, configuration management, and architecture standards. You will work closely in a DevOps environment with the program personnel to ensure smooth execution of continuous integration and test.

Demonstrates skill and ability to analyze and develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Able to communicate effectively at the highest levels. Erroneous decisions or recommendations would normally result in failure to achieve goals critical to the major objectives of the organization. Liaison Serves as prime consultant and external spokesperson for the organization on highly significant matters relating to policies, programs, capabilities, and long-range goals and objectives.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Job Qualifications:

• Staff Cyber Systems Engineer: 12 Years with Bachelor’s in relevant field of study, 10 Years with Masters, 08 Years with PhD or 04 additional years in lieu of a degree.

• Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need

• DOD 8570 IAT Level II (Security + or higher).

• Windows server management experience

• Network and Cyber Requirements Systems Engineering

• Strong Network Engineering background
