As a per diem, nonexempt CPS Solutions, LLC Staff Pharmacist at Banner Lassen Medical Center, you will fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.   

Schedule: This per diem, nonexempt position may provide coverage up to 19 hours/week on an as needed basis. There are no regularly scheduled hours for this position. 

Pay Range: $70-$75/hour based on experience  

About the Facility: Banner Lassen Medical Center (BLMC) is a critical access 25 bed not-for-profit hospital located in Susanville, California, and operated by Banner Health. BLMC provides 24/7 emergency care, general medical and surgical services, cancer care, ICU, maternal, diagnostic imaging, laboratory, and a number of other related services. BLMC offers an excellent opportunity to apply good pharmacy practice skills.  As part of one of the largest hospital groups in the western United States, BLMC enjoys patient care resources and financial stability well above the norm. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.

About the Pharmacy:   Pharmacy hours are Monday-Saturday 7:00am-3:30pm, and Sunday 7:00am-11:00am.  After hours is supported by Remote Order Entry.  The Pharmacy currently is supported by Cerner and Pyxis automation, EMAR and BVM.

Required Qualifications:

• BS or Pharm D degree from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
• Current California Pharmacist license in good standing       
• Minimum 5 years recent experience beyond the internship as a Pharmacist in a hospital setting and/or Pharmacy Residency practice trained and preferred 
• Experience with IV preparation/compounding is required
• Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
• ​Ability to work cooperatively with other members of CPS and hospital and pharmacy staff 

Hospital Requirements (may be required): 

• (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
• (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
• ​Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving immunity
• Hepatitis B series or declination
• TDap 
• A physical 
• (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
• Covid Vaccine - Full
