Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Mission Systems has several openings for an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead that is ready to work across functions to help drive hardware movement in the factory/test, document issues, drive improvement plans, and support ramp up to meet throughput requirements. This position is located in Baltimore, MD.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Direct engineering teams across design, manufacturing, and yield improvement initiatives to ensure the successful delivery of mission-critical production products.
Interface effectively with Engineering, Program Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Mission Assurance to align project goals and drive execution.
Utilize Root Cause Analysis and data processing techniques to identify issues and implement functional testing for performance improvement and risk mitigation.
Thrive in a fast-paced setting with high expectations, managing diverse tasks and fostering collaborative teamwork.
Develop and execute comprehensive project budgets and schedules, ensuring efficient resource allocation and adherence to timelines.
Partner with suppliers to articulate project requirements clearly and ensure alignment with production needs.
Regularly update internal leadership on project status, challenges, and progress to maintain transparency and support decision-making.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
This role is contingent upon candidates having an active DOD Secret clearance.
This role can be filled at either level.
Basic Qualifications for Principal IPT Lead:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience; or a Master’s degree in the same fields with at least 3 years of applicable experience. An additional 4 years of experience is acceptable in lieu of degree.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and hold an active DoD Secret Clearance.
Possess a basic understanding of the Design, Manufacturing, and Test process.
Demonstrated knowledge of the Design, Manufacturing, and Test processes, with the ability to apply this understanding effectively in project environments.
1-year minimum as an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead or equivalent where responsibilities included: project planning, cost & schedule management including tracking, team tasking / leadership, and status reporting.
1-year minimum working experience with knowledge of Global Supply Chain and Manufacturing Material Processing
