UltraViolet Cyber is hiring a Network Security Engineer, preferably in Phoenix, Arizona, to work as a hybrid resource dedicated to a client in Phoenix, Arizona. The successful candidate must have experience managing, securing and working in mission-critical heterogeneous network environments. Moreover, the successful candidate must have hands-on experience configuring routers, switches and firewalls, as well as meaningful knowledge and experience with Palo Alto firewalls.

UltraViolet Cyber is hiring a Network Security Engineer, preferably in Phoenix, Arizona, to work as a hybrid resource dedicated to a client in Phoenix, Arizona. The successful candidate must have experience managing, securing and working in mission-critical heterogeneous network environments. Moreover, the successful candidate must have hands-on experience configuring routers, switches and firewalls, as well as meaningful knowledge and experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
Responsibilities:
- Support network infrastructure systems by conducting Moves, Adds, Changes and Deletes as requested by customer.
- Perform peer-reviews of network designs prior to implementation
- Work with configuration management to ensure compliance with architecture requirements.
- Participate in Priority 1 troubleshooting as needed during security or operational incidents.
- Conduct firewall security policy reviews with the intention of providing customer with recommended policy optimizations.
Minimum Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience with managing and securing Palo Alto technologies (Next Gen Firewall, Panorama, etc.)
- Thorough understanding of network engineering including TCP/IP Layers 2 - 7.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to “think outside-the-box".
- Palo Alto certifications such as PCNSA or PCNSE.
- US Citizenship required and all work to be performed within the Continental US.
