As the Maintenance Manager in San Jose, you will work within the maintenance team, reporting directly to the Plant Manager and collaborating with various departments and external services. With a team under your guidance, you'll oversee preventive maintenance systems to ensure seamless operations across production lines and warehouse activities. A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
- Leadership & Strategy: Serve as a key member of the Plant Management Leadership Team, setting operational policies and direction while ensuring accountability and alignment across teams. Develop and lead the maintenance team, fostering ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Maintenance & Reliability: Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to optimize equipment performance and longevity. Use problem-solving techniques to address recurring issues, drive technical improvements, and implement best practices.
- Operational Compliance: Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and safety regulations (e.g., GMP, HACCP, OSHA). Establish and achieve KPIs, manage department budgeting, and maintain workforce expertise.
- Resource Optimization: Optimize spare parts inventory to balance cost and availability. Coordinate with contractors and consultants to achieve effective maintenance and capital programs.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with multiple departments, including Operations, Engineering, Food Safety, Logistics, and EHS, to align maintenance priorities and resources for seamless operations.
We’re Looking for Someone With
- Bachelors degree in a related field OR equivalent years of experience
- Extensive experience in a manufacturing setting with maintenance/planning supervision and/or management experience.
- Expertise in predictive and preventive maintenance techniques (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography, and condition monitoring).
- Proficiency with CMMS systems and data-driven maintenance planning.
- Experience leading Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementing corrective actions.
- Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and GMP compliance for maintenance activities.
- Proven ability in budget management, cost control, and executing capital projects.
Compensation
The annual salary range is $177,632-$244,244, which is based on various factors such as location, experience and skill. Discretionary bonuses based on company and individual performance are also available.
